When James Brown sang the words in his hit song, “This is a man’s world, but it would be nothing without a woman or a girl,” he was right! SAY MY NAME celebrates some of the many amazing black women and girls who made history. Their remarkable individual achievements broke down barriers in sports, entertainment, education, and even outer space. While some of these “sheros” will be familiar, some may not. In this exciting production of drama, song and dance, you will get to know them all and say their names!

I just wanted to share with you how much our students at Susquehanna
Township High School enjoyed the production,
“Say My Name.” There were a few of our girls who were actually moved to tears,
particularly with the segments on Bessie Coleman and Wilma Rudolph. Several students described being inspired by the show and taking steps to
pursue personal goals and dreams they’ve contemplated, but failed to move
forward on. So thank you for having the insight and resources to make the
event come to fruition.
You are one phenomenal woman! I absolutely LOVED the show and so did the audience. You MUST do this again and again . I'm off to South Africa next Saturday. We need to talk. This show is soooooooooo informative of the past for the present. We must talk. I love what you and Lenny are giving to our ancestors to others about our history via her story and saying the names of the ancestors and the yet to be ancestors.
